So as I mentioned previously, I have had a pretty rough week (and it's only Wednesday!)! So I thought I'd share some drama that a new if.netter thought it prudent to create.

Now I have been on this site for almost a year and I know a lot about it, and I love it. I have made so many wonderful friends who deserve every vote they get--even at the expense of me going nowhere in my contests (no biggie--there are a lot of people I would gladly loose to because their work is so exceptional!).
Well just recently a young girl has become part of the if.net community and this girl wrongly accused me of not voting for any of my friends. Her accusation goes as follows:
"Alessandra you are loosing votes because everyone has realized you are lying for votes! We see your same message "I voted for you" on everyones profile in the contest!

I would rather loose the contest than loose my self respect ! "

As you can imagine I was very taken aback and quite upset since I spend close to two hours everyday voting for my friends and leaving them messages and writing back to them. So I retorted quickly, upset with such an accusation:

"I am voting in the morning and in the evening. I just realized though that my votes for you are wasted. How dare you say what isn't true. What proof have you got?

Don't bother replying. You're too young to even come up with a coherent argument."

This may seem harsh, but I have a young brother at home who is just as cognitive as any adult, and anyone who can type and write online and interact the way she did, should be able to understand what exactly she said and how very wrong she is.

Of course she responded:

"
Alessandra A you still can't vote for everyone in the same contest when you only get one vote per contest per day! It's simple math!

You continue to lie even in this email! You never voted voted for me because you are in the same Sanyo contest as me. I noticed you left this out in your original email.

I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOU AS AN ADULT ! I MIGHT BE A KID BUT I HAVE MORALS!"

Now I was in disbelief because I had no idea where this was coming from. I have always been cordial and friendly and I vote loyally to all my friends--and for someone to attack me thus so is absolutely ludacris.
I replied hastily:

"I can vote for everyone I want. You don't have to vote for one person in each contest. What planet are you on? You cannot vote several times for one person, but you can vote for as many people as you want IN THE SAME CONTEST.

I left nothing out of any original message.

I care not for your respect or what you think of me. Whether you are a child or not, you have no respect for anyone as you treat your elders with the utmost disrespect--more than I have ever encountered in my life.

I do not understand what you are talking about when myself and everyone on this site has the ability to vote for everyone in one contest if they so choose.

Maybe you should pay more attention and grow up. It is clear that whoever raised you taught you very little about attacking someone with the full understanding of what exactly you are accusing someone. So once again, please neglect a response, as I could not care less about what you think.

By the way, it's people like you who quickly realize the importance of picking and choosing your fights and your friends.

Don't play, child, when you don't know the rules."

I figured she would learn quickly and realize her mistake. Hopefully she would not respond at all, but if she did, I know I deserved an apology because I would never verbally attack someone--and if I did and it was my mistake, I would be the first to admit it. Of course I'm not a child who knows not the difference between right and wrong, but the way she wrote made it clear to me that she understood what she was doing.

She replied:
"You still would not be giving me your vote when I'm in 13th place and your in 25th. Tell the truth.

Thanks for teaching me something new about the voting process :)"

And still with no apology, she accuses me that once again I have no integrity for what I believe should happen in these contests.

Being a woman and Italian and from Jersey, I always have to have the last word:

"Unlike you, Morgan, I am true to my word and do what I say and know the actions of what I do. If I find there are entries that deserve a vote--even if they are closer than I, I will give them my vote. You, however, have lost MY respect as an artist. And, although your entry is well edited, you have attacked the wrong person--especially without having had all your facts straight. At the very least I deserve an apology, not another accusation of who you THINK I am.

So please, go bother someone else."

Still no apology.

By the way, this girl is Morgan Lambert. If you thought to vote for her, please note her real colors. She is a sham, and she is not voting for you, of course she never promised to--but she still will not either way.

She seems to think she is too good to really speak to any of us civilly as she writes the same thing over and over again.

Don't be fooled by her baby blues. She, or whoever is pulling her strings, should really understand the consequences of her actions.

My advice? She doesn't deserve to win. So don't let her.

Also, if I seem harsh, I just want to be perfectly clear that I do not take such accusations lightly. I spend a lot of time on this site voting for my friends and for her to say otherwise and then write on my wall and everyone else's is absolutely ridiculous and should be handled and corrected immediately.
